About the Bride...

Born and raised in Bradenton, Fla., Sara Elaine was welcomed into the world by her parents, Robert & Donna Pelot, and her older sister, Amy. She was followed by twin sisters, Erin and Jessica, and a brother, Robert (Robby).

As a youngster, Sara discovered many hobbies like reading, swimming, gymnastics and cheerleading, and she was very active in her church, Manatee United Methodist in Bradenton.

She also spent a lot of her youth at her family’s pharmacy, Pelot’s Pharmacy in Downtown Bradenton. The experience of working in the pharmacy with her grandfather, father and many other family members is what motivated her to pursue that study in college.

Sara graduated in 2001 with the highest honors from the University of Florida—Go Gators!—with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science Education. She then followed her career pursuits to Atlanta to attend Mercer University, where she earned her Doctor of Pharmacy in 2008.

About the Groom...

Born and raised in Glennville, Ga., Blake Bryan is the son of Robert & Debbie Dasher, and younger brother to Heath.

Having an appreciation for the sweeter things in life, Blake discovered his love for the Vidalia onion at the age of 12. He spent most of his childhood working on the family farm. He learned the family’s business, G&R Farms, from the ground up while attending school and earning good grades.

Blake also played a number of sports in high school including football and basketball, and he was a proud member of the State Championship Football Team his freshman year at Pinewood Christian Academy.

But it was the time spent on the family farms that eventually led him to the University of Georgia—Go Dawgs! Blake was a member of the Delta Chapter of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. He graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor’s in Forestry.

About the Couple...

Sara & Blake met through a mutual friend, Nicole, who is Blake’s cousin and Sara’s pharmacy school friend and roomie. Sara & Blake’s first date was to the Florida-Georgia game in 2007. Unfortunately for Sara, the Gators lost that game—fortunately for her, she won Blake’s heart.

Sara & Blake are celebrating their third year together this fall. In February of this year, Blake proposed to Sara in front of the University of Georgia Chapel, and she said yes.
